The Integrated Packet Bus (IPB) 1.0 Data Link Specification was developed in tandem with the ACR 1.0 Specification.

IPB offers high-speed data transfers between the PCI controller and the ACR resources.

IPB was developed to offer flexibility to implement communications solutions across a wide range of performance, functional, and cost spectrums:

Supports hardware, controller-less, and soft architectures.
Supports needed signaling for bit interfaces, packet interfaces, and sample interfaces.
Supports multiple types of DSL and other wide area network communication technologies.
